Current Year 6 pupils spent an enjoyable day at BGS on Monday as part of a Year 7 transition day.
The pupils, both from BGS and other schools, will form the new Year 7 group from September 2018.
They all received a friendly welcome in the form of a buddy letter from a current Year 7 student.
They were able to meet their buddy in person at lunchtime after playing rounders with the BGSG Sports Captain, House Captains and sixth formers.
The purpose of the day was to get to know each other, to start to build friendships and to get a feel for a typical day in the Senior School.
It wasn't all play though. The girls attended Religious Studies, Art and Library lessons during the day and teachers commented on how well the students participated in lessons.
The boys took part in lessons which involved singing songs in French, solving puzzles in Maths and making their own bread in Biology.
They had a session getting to know their way around the LRC and they were also given and individual tour around the school by a current Year 7 pupil.
We are all looking forward to seeing them again on Wednesday 5 September for the new term and wish them a lovely summer break.
