Stars of the Week
Well done to this week's Stars of the Week!
Despite the chilly temperatures Reception have been as enthusiastic as ever to pursue their learning outside.
Dressing appropriately for the changing weather and seasons is an important part of our increasing knowledge and understanding of the world we live in.
The children revel in the freedom of the less formal outdoor provision and enjoy not having the constraints of an indoor classroom.
There is space to run, jump, shout and explore.
The children have been helping Wesley (the puppet) choose the correct grapheme for different words containing the phoneme /ai/.
Year One have created some wonderful weather charts for the classroom. We are very proud of the excellent presentational skills and the research and observational focus used to complete them.
As part of our Science topic, the children went searching for microhabitats in the playground.
They worked in pairs to find as many as they could and recorded their findings.
They were surprised to discover spiders, ladybirds, and other minibeasts lurking in the playground wall.
