Year 1 have been learning about the history of Bury Grammar School by visiting each of the Schools.
Headmaster, Mr Cassidy, met the children in his office before showing them around the Boys’ Senior School.
The children admired the art work in the corridors, especially the clay poppies made to remember the BGS Old Boys who lost their lives in the First and Second World Wars.
In the Boys' hall all the children were allowed to sit on the Headmaster’s chair.
They also looked in an old chest which had belonged to Roger Kay.
The children have looked around the Infant School and the Senior Girls as well.
